Kevin and I fully take advantage of any opportunity to get up to the Pacific Northwest. We especially jump to get out there during the smoldering Virginia summers! This August, as ususal, the annual family reunion for Kevin's family was taking place on the lovely Oregon coast. Because it's so far and we really don't get out there as much as we'd like we strecthed the vacation out to 2 whole weeks! Living out of your suitcase for that long isn't fun, but seeing family and being in a different place is refreshing.
This time we flew to Seattle, where we spent a few days. Then, we flew to Santa Monica to spend a little time there and to participate in the blessing of our newest beautiful niece. Then, we flew to Oregon for a week-long family reunion. Lastly, we drove back to Seattle for a few extra days and back home to Virginia. It was a long trip, but we had such a great time with family we don't see enough.
Here are pictures from our first stop: Seattle
We always end up at Pike Place. I love the flowers and Kevin loves the food. Maybe we both love the food...
For all our freinds from these parts who are far from their home, there is now a ferris wheel! Sadly we didn't go on it, but isn't that so cool?
Ahhh, the flowers! The deals!
Couldn't keep up with him.
Sign behind all the shops.
Best produce.
Had to get a little bag of Rainier cherries.
Famous fish market.
Out front.
One of my favorite spots.
A treat to end the day at Pike Place...
Kevin's mom introduced us to a place called The Smoking Monkey. I now crave it all the time. We ordered the stromboli. So delicious.
Ventured to the Renton market to be totally surprised at how awesome it was. These pasta nests were so cute and they had tons of different ones to choose from.
My mum-in-law and I with our flowers from the market.

Loved all the colorful carrots.
Picking blueberries in the backyard.

We had our 3 year anniversary while visiting mom and dad Broadbent. Stephanie made the morning very sweet with a yummy breakfast and she gave me teh little pink depressin dish that you see to add to my collection.
Tablescapes are always cute when my mom in law is involved.

Oh those flowers!! I can't get over how beautiful they are. I still haven't been to the pacific northwest and I know I'm missing out on so much!
