A Lovely Day

This Valentines Day was simple, but fabulous. Kevin and I are saving our pennies for our tour de France so we promised each other we wouldn't secretly scheme anything elaborate. But as usual in life, the simplest pleasures are the best! We had each written each other sweet love letters-mostly expressing our gratitude in being married to our best friend. Sappy isn't it? Kev searched far and wide to find my favorite flower, peonies, but I informed him they aren't in season until May. Don't worry, I am not complaining about the pretty peach roses. And Kev, thanks for being clever enough to never buy me boring red roses. They have never been my thing, and I am glad he knows! He even surprised me with the sweetest, daintiest, little earrings. Everyone post about your Valentines Day! I love hearing how all your husbands spoil you! I try to act like V-Day is lame, but I end up loving it each year.

p.s. Kev also got my little sister sunflower seeds( they're her favorite flower-how sweet is he?)
